Life isn’t easy but it is exciting.

When you are traveling to a new country there are a lot of things you don’t expect to have to deal with. Now try moving to another country. If I wanted to stay in Norway for 3 months it would have been different. I would have just needed a passport, plane ticket and a place to stay…but lets be real, sometimes travelers don’t even have a place to stay before they leave. For me having just this to worry about would have been freaking awesome but both fortunately and unfortunately for me I’ve decided to stay in Norway much longer. Actually, I want to stay for as long as I possibly can. So, why Norway? Well, would you be surprised that I moved all the way from midwest America (where I have lived my whole life) to Norway (above the arctic circle) for a guy.

WOW, what a shocker! Right? Sounds like the ending to a cheesy romantic comedy. Well that is how things go. I met a guy, I fell in love and now I’m in Norway. Trust me (even if you don’t know me) all cheesiness aside, this was not an easy process and it certainly isn’t any easier when you are leaving all your family and friends on the other side of the world. But despite all the difficulties and sad happenings, I’m happy and as far as I know I haven’t hurt anyone. Well, it’s possible that some friends and family members might have been sad to see me go but they need not be concerned. I made an oversea’s long distance relationship work for over two years so I’m sure I can manage my friend and family relationships back home. We’ll just have to use our technology!

So in case you care to know what I’m up to in Norway I will be posting some things here. I’ve never tried blogging before so I’m not sure how regular this will be and you’ve probably figured out by now that writing isn’t my strong suit so I might try making some video’s instead or in addition….hmmm….this wasn’t very helpful. I guess both of us will just have to wait and see what happens!
